Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victimes as witness in legal circumstances. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received many prizes and grants. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
