Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the media and bloggers. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Her name was also recognized via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just for pleasure or for the sake of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. To achieve this, she began writing songs that were her own creations. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. To counter her mother's suggestions that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with her songwriting, but instead realize the importance of themselves and the impact they have on society. She was suggested by her mother to perform her songs publicly so that people can see their own importance and how they impact the world. Family members didn't even know about this until she turned fourteen. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. She claims that she enjoys creating music. For her music, it is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
